Ok… 2 some of u this might be unimportant… but 2 me it has meant frustration for the last few months of my life…
B4 spring break I applied for a scholarship to go and study a semester abroad in Chile… and I was selected 4 it!!! I was sooooooooo excited… especially cause the scholarship covered everything… Air fares… health insurance… accommodation… meals… and school… it was just a prefect opportunity!!! But little by little it has all fallen appart…
A month ago the Dean of my school told me that the grant with which they were planning on paying the air fares with has not been approved yet which meant there was no money for our travelling expenses… the Chilean school was still willing to pay for our accommodation and food expenses… but that was of no use if there was no chance of my going to Chile in the 1st place… On the bright side… my University is offering me a grant of six US$500 payments 4 whatever random expenses I might have whilst in Chile… so I thought of this… Since the cheapes air fare (with Avianca airlines) is a tad more than a US$1000 and the medical insurance is exactly US$365 that I could ask some realtive or friend to lend US$1500 and let me pay it in 3 months… the thing is I haven’t had any luck with that!!!! So I thought perhaps I could ask total strangers… And here’s my idea… if I can get 100 ppl to lend me US$15 I coul fulfill my dream of studying abroad (I’m studying veterinary medicine… by the way… and I would be performing as a vet in a Wildlife Rescue Centre)… I am willing to pay back to all the ppl who lend me those US$15… but I would also accept any kind donations… lol!!! So… if u r willing to help me out or know someone who does or wanna know more of my story… my email is (email removed)… I have a PayPal account with that email and if u decide 2 help me just do it thru there… and if u’d like me 2 pay u back please state so…
Hope my story’s not 2 boring 2 u… and I hope u find it in ur hearts 2 help me out with this issue… if not ecconomically… well… @ least pray 2 God that I do find a way 2 pay for my expenses and go to Chile… that would be enough help 4 me…
