  Church… yeah, I just started going to one, but I’m hesitant with it still. Not sure I wanna jump into a bible study. Everyone else just seems so gung-ho and passionate about it and I’m just “I believe in God, but I’m not obsessed” but maybe I should at least try it out.

You will just have to have some patience and value any response you receive at all. In the meantime, try to find things to do that will keep you occupied. Try not to spend too much time holed up in your home if you have a choice. Do your homework at Starbucks instead of your bedroom, or go to the museum or an art gallery when there’s a new opening. Also consider doing some volunteer work if you like animals or old people or something of the sort. You’ll be surprised at how many people you meet when your not actually trying to meet people. I’ve lived in NY, CO and currently in CA and I didn’t know more than one or two people each time I’ve moved. I’ve met so many people through my travels, but I’ve come to realize not everyone will keep in touch as much as I would like. But you know what, it’s the one or two that you meet that you create such a strong bond with that you will always be able to get in touch with. Even that person may not get back to you right away, but you know they will eventually, and that should make you feel good.For those times you feel the need to express yourself immediately, this website is a great resource. Not all replies are intelligent or insightful, but there’s always someone listening.[/quote]
  
  Bored… yes. Maybe homework at starbucks is a good idea. Gets me out of the house when I’m bored at least. As for volunteer work… I should. I think it’s a matter of not wanting to go try something alone, but that sounds silly as soon as I write it. Thank you for your advice

  Haha, guess I still might be a bit of a wuss to just go somewhere alone in hopes of meeting people. I did post on Craigslist and people don’t really bother to keep up contact, I’m on facebook, but not really sure what to do with it to meet people, and meetup… ok, I haven’t really given it much of a chance, but I should. Thank you
