  I would go with the love at first sight. You have tried the old thing and that hasn’t worked yet. Believe me. They NEVER change. He will see that you are going to stick around and go right back to the way he was.

  I have used rubbing alcohol. De-ice it works by what I have heard. I have not used it.

  I don’t understand what the job with nasty words in it is. Wither way this is your life not theirs. I have had people try to get me to do things as well and I don’t do it. I don’t care what other people want. So see there ya go. Just live YOUR life because hey, it is yours.
