It sounds as though you are walling in self-pity, you need to be pro-active, doll. You’ve obviously got the passion for knowledge so read some thought-provoking books. I’d recommend Doris Lessing because her books have so much depth and are never written superfluosly.
As for maths, practice. Although practice certainly does not make perfect in maths, only confidence. Do not allow yourself to feel overwhelmed about numbers.
