  I know I sound like a whining little brat, but these feelings are real. I don’t know what to do bc now spending all the money on the ring I dont really have enough to pay for a therapist. I just feel lost and am tired of feeling so miserable all the time. I dont like these thoughts that pop into my head constantly

  You pinned it exactly. No I wouldn’t say I got good closure after she broke up with me in an e-mail. I kinda feel like I just didnt mean anything to her at all since she didn’t even have the decency to say it to my face. No I returned the ring and they gave me a partial refund, which I dont really care about. Wierd that a grad student 23 years old doesnt care about the money…..just the girl.

  You know someone with a big heart like you have its a shame for you to feel so ******. I’m the guy who’s girlfriend of 4 years left him via e-mail and was thinkin some bad thoughts (I wrote it anonomously). But your advice really helped me so maybe I can offer some advice even if I tend not to follow it myself. You seem like a person with a heart bigger than your head, much like me. All you can do is keep an open mind and an open heart as you go through life. Life will throw at you some serious curveballs, the key is to just keep yourself happy no matter what the cost. Believe me I understand what its like to lose “the one”, but I do also believe that everything happens for a reason. If you and your first girl just didn’t match then you know what **** her bc it seems like it is her loss. If you are able to make me feel better when I am contemplating suicide all the meanwhile you are depressed then you know what?? you are a great person no matter how ****** one person makes you feel. Forget about the disease (easier said than done I know) bc thats not whats important in life. There may not be cures out there, but is there anything that can aid you at least for a few hours? Regardless, from what I have learned is that always keep your head high and a smile on your face. In the words of Bob Marley….”In this bright future you can forget your past. So dry your tears I say.” I try to live my life by this quote and maybe just taking it day by day will help you see your bright future. Take care man.

  Thanks guys this advice is helping me get some ideas of what to do. Its sad bc I know that I have it good. A lot of people would like to have my life, but I just can’t believe that I let a girl get to me in this way. Such is life I guess. Its tough for me bc I just moved to Florida and I don’t know anyone here so I don’t have anyone to talk to. And I bottle up all my emotions and I just scare myself sometimes. I was suicidal before and then I got better (go figure it was right around the time I got together with this girl) and now I dunno. I never thought I would think these toughts again, but they are coming back stronger than ever.
