Yep, no, I still want to hurt him. Honestly I feel like that’s the only way I’ll be able to move on. I know, it’s juvenile to think that way but I want to get even. I want him to be as hurt as I was, though he never will be because it’s out of my hands.

I did walk away and he keeps coming back every time. It is very nerve-wrecking. Just when I start forgetting about him he pops up from some corner and it’s like no time has passed. This is a small town and it’s hard to avoid him. He thinks we’re ‘okay’ because we’ve ’sorted out the past’ and now he wants to be friends like we were before things got messed up. The whole thing makes me sick. I have zero control over my feelings.

I know all that, and I’ve been trying to let go. But there’s no one to divert my attention to.

Everyone would. It’s hard to find people with similar interests. Try the internet, I guess. Forums are becoming popular all of a sudden.

Try using what you’re best at. For example if you’re writing, write about what you know best, whatever it is. It doesn’t have to be perfect, because you’re probably gonna want to go back and revise the material (that’s why it’s called ‘the material’). Try just sitting down and writing your thoughts as they go through your mind (without planning what you’re gonna write, that’s too stressful). Then go back through it and see if you came up with something acceptable.

Me too. I feel like I’ve met everyone worth knowing in this city (and now I’m not friends with those people any more). Too many bad memories and I want to get away. Problem is - I don’t think it would be better anywhere else. And I seriously doubt I could live in another city all by myself. So I’m stuck.
