2007-08-02 15:18:47 on Can Science Make something out of nothing?
It’s a neverending circle. It makes me sick. People like to use that comparison as an explanation for time, but it’s empty. If you look at a ring, sure it has no beginning or an end, but someone ‘outside’ still made it. That’s just silly.
2007-08-02 15:15:55 on Nevermore.
Why did you do it?
And by ‘you’ I mean plural. It’s so tricky that in English ‘you’ can be both singular and plural, I have to think every time I hear it. It’s not so in my native language.

Thanx, I guess I’ll need it.
2007-08-02 15:12:36 on I have what people would call multiple personalities.
“…the truth of the matter is we are not always “our own best experts”. The number of people that post there woes here are proof enough of that for me.”
—> does anybody see how this last sentence could be the ‘proof’ for just the opposite? How many people have been to psychologists and psychiatrists and didn’t get any better? I am one of them, so I could just be saying this because of my own experience. But I think that the reason why there are so many people on Help.com is that psychiatrists don’t always work, not that people refuse to go see them.
- but that’s just my opinion, too bad Richard ran away as soon as this ‘fight’ broke out. Though I fail to see (a good reason) why it broke out in the first place.

Nice to meet you, Kimber :-D
7fold, how do your eyes change color? Hate to say this, but that’s… erm… biologically impossible?
2007-08-02 15:02:15 on Just some food for thought, as skeptical as it may
I know, I’ll probably be saying the same thing in a few years :-)
But I’ll bite myself if I this doesn’t come out of me now: Easy for you to say.
Sorry about that :-D
2007-08-02 14:48:40 on Just some food for thought, as skeptical as it may
That’s what I’m planning to do. It does take years to know a person enough, and I definitely don’t want to get married with the thought: ‘Oh well if I get sick of him I can always get a divorce’. That’s the last thing I would do. Getting to know someone seems very easy. Finding the right person is my problem. I’m very picky and don’t know a lot of people. I don’t wanna start whining about my own misery now so I’ll just stop writing.
Why are we so picky? That’s another evolutionary question.

What about the title? DARKO? (the only thing that comes to my mind is that movie, Donnie Darko, also ‘Darko’ is a pretty common name in my country, but I’d say that’s irrelevant here). Is it about ‘dark-ness’? That would be a little too obvious.
Also I didn’t get the impression that this song had anything to do with Ella, more that it’s 7fold talking to himself.
2007-08-02 14:36:58 on Heroes.
My Grandma’s kind of sick too. I’m a little angry at her because she refuses to go to the doctor. She has kidney problems. But since this is about heroes, not heroes’ health problems, I should mention that she’s my hero because she’s had a tough life, lost her father at an early age, her husband’s an alcoholic, her son’s a war veteran (and I don’t have to tell you how problematic that is), then there’s me, and yet she is the most cheerful and serene and simple a person as they get. She’s completely zen, like she’s already an angel. She’s a miracle and I love her very much.
2007-08-02 14:32:52 on Ever notice that you always seem to have the answers for someone else’s problem and never your own?
Yeah, that can be frustrating. The same thing’s happening to me right now and it’s very irritating.
2007-08-02 14:28:35 on Nevermore.
Why haven’t you gone to see her? Also, ‘whose’ (of the seven of you) girlfriend is she?
2007-08-02 14:26:05 on Nevermore.
Oh, and I forgot to ask: do your parents know about this? Does anyone other than Ella?
2007-08-02 14:25:24 on Nevermore.
Yeah how does any of the personalities (whoever’s on now) know about the others? Can all of them communicate inside the overall ‘you’?
And thanks for the explanation, since I was the one who asked for it. I didn’t think you’d really do it, though. :-)
2007-08-01 03:20:59 on How has your cultural background led you to misunderstand the actions or appearance of someone from another culture?
Okay, okay, you don’t need to lecture me ;)
2007-08-01 03:16:11 on Recall that human perception includes three steps: selection, organization, and interpretation.
You misunderstood me completely. I’m not offended, come on :-)
What I meant is that parents (well, everyone) are influenced by culture. Culture is everywhere you look, all around you. ‘Parental guidance’ is supposed to guide through what? Through culture! At the same time it is determined by it. You just can’t separate the two. The fact that you live in a house with running water, electricity, etc with your family (parents, siblings if any) is a mark of the culture you belong to.
