  I disagree. Social groups to an extent mask what some people like to term ‘individuality’. To take this on a much deeper and perhaps more poignant note, we saw what happened in WW2 with Adolf Hitler and the way he categorised people according to a social structure, aka social darwinism. We saw during that time that those not in the socially acceptable groups like homosexuals, gypsys, political opponents of the Nazi party, the handicapped and the Jewish people, were systematically removed from society. Any sense of individuality was lost during that period, people could not properly express themselves for fear of retributions and attacks. Social groups are not all bad, people can mix with like minded peers, but abused and I think just about everyone knows today what can happen…

  Yeh I know so many friends who are only interested in making out with a girl and as far as they are concerned if she is drunk then who cares. I completely disagree with that attitude, hence when you say
  
  “you have your whole life to see this girl” I understand, but I would say that I am quite a serious person. My last kinda relationship ended in disaster for me because I hadn’t realised that the girl only wanted to have a relationship for a joke, so we decided not to have a relationship. I dno, I like long and stable relationships, that’s what I look for when I date someone, but I just wonder how I can interpret some of the signs that this girl gives me…it’s so confusing!

  I honestly don’t! As it is my religion forbids sex before marriage- it’s impossible since I would say that I keep my faith. So perhaps if we move on from discussing whether or not I want to get laid or not, people can focus on trying to help me?
