Born and raised in Ca. Raised two Daughters and now have 4 Grandkids. I have one Brother living in So Ca. I have lived in every Major City in Ca. at one time or another. Single for 16yrs. Took care of my Mother for the past 10 years. Raised Twin Boys (Grandsons)from birth to 7 years old and now they are back with Mom going on one year now. Have been able to hold down the fort for 3 households by the grace of God for the past 8 years. I am reciently involved in starting a new business for Seniors and Extended Families. It’s a Transportation service for individuals stuck at home with no transportation, other than Family,taking take them to Appointments, shopping or just getting out for a while. Most families in this situation have to work fulltime and raise thier own young children and have very limited time to attend to the Elder Parents needs when it comes to outside events such as Dr. Appointments, Shopping, or just a break from sitting around the house. This also helps some Seniors stay independant in their own Homes for a while longer not to mention the break it gives their Families. As you probably guessed, I am an Advocate for Seniors. My young Adulthood consisted of Truck Driving (semi), Roofing, starting a successful Healthclub business with a chain of 7. Starting a Land Surveying Business with my Ex Husband in the Bay area. Moving Back to the L A area to tend to my parents when their health became an issue. Starting a Printing Business with my Brother while taking care of Mom and Dad. That one failed due to issues with my Brother and his Freind using it as a front for Drug sales. Eight years ago both my Daughters came to me from abusive relationships and 5 mo. pregnant. I rented a house and we all moved in waiting for the birth of 3 babies in 1999. Both Girls are now out in their own homes, still somewhat strugling to get through College and holding down Jobs. Took in the Twins when my oldest daughter freeked out and left us for a few years. Bought my First Home in Long Beach and moved into it on 9/11, of all days!!! Lived in that house for one year then relocated to the Valley of good ol’ Fresno. Now with Parents gone and Grandkids with their Family, I find myself by myself. Have no bills other than my Home. At age 55 I now have decided to start another business helping Seniors. Hope it takes off. Other Transportation services are Gouging the ones on fixed incomes.
