2008-07-26 12:39:34 on help me i have an 5 year old brother going on 6 he
If you tell him it’s wrong you will make him feel there is something wrong with him.
Just leave him alone. He is an innocent little child expressing his likes. What is your problem with that? The question is why are you so insecure that you find your your brother to be an embarrassment to you. If any of your friends says something critical about your brother you should stick up for him.
Exactly.
So he likes girl things.. is that going to end the world? He is not the first and won’t be the last. What is more important to you, that you love your little bro, or that you want to force him into being someone he is not?
“It’s better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you are not.”
2008-07-08 20:39:47 on I need some artist and song help!
I can never hear the lyrics but others looking for the same song say it is something along the line of “running out of time” however it is not anything that I have googled. (not: Simple Plan, HOT HOT Heat, Muse)
The big thing is that it sounds almost exactly like Chris Martin.
2008-07-07 21:15:40 on Mother says I’ll never get over my first love.
I don’t know if your question was rhetoric, but I can say that yes you do think of your first love often throughout life. Though not always in a longing sense. Sometimes I think of mine in a “wonder what would have happened” thought or “they liked that” kind of way. As time passes those thoughts cease to be painful, but more nostalgic. I still think of my first love, but can no longer relate to them and or see myself together with them. Does it make me love them less? Not really. My emotion for them evolved into something like a scar. No longer painful, forever altering, sometimes un-noticed, but forever there.

Juno was pretty good too, Superbad was dumb but fun.

Babel or Crash.
2008-07-07 21:02:40 on I have a white bump on the underside of my penis head which is a little larger then an eraser on a pencil.
Sounds like you picked something up. Now grow some balls and get swabbed for the safety of the rest of the world. Get tested!
2008-07-07 20:59:19 on if i never told my parents i have a girlfriend and they never asked, is that bearing false witness…they never said they didnt want me to have one?
I always thought that “bearing false witness” meant to wrongly accuse someone of an action. I don’t think it has anything to do with dating and not telling your parents that you are dating.
I think it best to discuss this with your parents and establish some connection there.
2008-07-07 20:38:04 on Establishing Credit?
It says your acc has been deactivated, but I will try anyways.
Credit is a fickle thing, if handled properly it can be a saving grace. If not (as in my own past) it can be a huge problem that affects everything that you do.
The best way to start establishing credit is to apply for a department store credit card. Macy’s, Dillards, JC Penny, Kohls and the like. The rates may be high, but your limit will be low. At max $300 to start off with. You need to be adamant about paying your debt on time, and maintain a small debt on that account. Many people think it is wise to charge, then pay it off immediately.. this does not help build credit. If you have a small amount to owe, it shows that you can be trusted to make payments as well as give back a profit (APR) to the bank.
The next thing you can do is apply for a larger amount through a credit union or other bank. This will up your limit so here is where you need to be even more timely. A used car loan would be a good start of this. Pay on it a while and then you can tackle your schooling.
Is it possible for you to get grants vs. loans? Student loans have been increasingly harder to obtain due to todays market being so low (I assume you are in the US). Also be forewarned that student loans are the number one killer of credit. If for some reason in the future you need to file for bankruptcy, you can’t file agianst student loans. Also if you don’t pay on your student loans, the APR will keep accumulating. I know someone who borrowed $2,000 but has been default for so long that they now owe $20,000. Not a pretty picture.
First and foremost, you have to get a job and stick with it. It is so easy to jump from job to job, but on a credit app. this is instability.
Be careful and good luck!
2008-06-14 07:42:51 on so… why do the US call football ’soccer’,
Okay here is the lowdown.
Football (English) is the grandfather of both rugby and American football. Rugby evolved from football, and American football evolved from rugby. As for the name game, I don’t know why we didn’t call it American rugby, or something else entirely. Maybe because all the rules weren’t changed at once, but over a timeline. Therefore with every new or revised rule, someone wouldn’t have to come up with a new new name.
Association Football is the term the English used to distinguish English football from Rugby Football. Assoc Football was a pet name once, as was simply Assoc. Then it evolved to Soccer. See the correlation?
So when you blame us for screwing up football names, it was all those immigrants from the UK and Ireland that did it. So nee-ner nee-ner. (As a side note, my family were many that immigrated.)
Haha, that being said, I don’t hold interest in sport. It is funny that I understand most of the big sport rules and history (aside from Rugby). It’s weird where you pick up this stuff.
2008-06-14 07:24:07 on All you GUYS with long hair.
Cut it hippie!
JK. I once new a guy who had shoulder length long hair and he always looked sharp. He would spray it back and tie it for a sleek look. He also had great fashion senses.
The problem might be less the hair and more the clothes that you decide to wear. Stay away from loose fitting shirts and pants or overly long sleeves and trouser legs. If you want to be professional in todays society, you need to understand that the general consesus is that long hair isn’t kosher for a male. If you offset it with great style, there will be no question.

I told this post to my buddy at work today. She is an aspiring pilot and her and I have serious discussions about politics, worldly matters, military and all. When I began to tell this to her, she intently listened anticipating a historical debate, then I got to the horses *** and she couldn’t stop laughing! Thnks GreenEyes!

Anyone here every played the “Why” game with a 4 year old?
Yakno… dialogue much like this:
Why is the sky blue? (Because when sunlight goes through air the only color you see is blue.)
Why? (Because the little air ball bounces off only blue light. The other colors get eaten by the air ball.)
Why? (Because God said so.)
Why? (Hmph.)
2008-05-26 20:13:20 on does anyone know how bad an OTHER THAN HONORABLE discharge from the military is?
Having an Other Than Honorable discharge for going AWOL in 1990. Gone 34 days. You lose your government benefits like health insurance.. Is that just veterans health insurance or does it include AARP and other health insurance for the elderly?
As far as I know it shouldn’t affect your civilian benefits. That is where capitalism works.. big business doesn’t care how you obtain your money as long as they get a share of it.
2008-05-13 20:18:06 on I’m a 26 year old man and recently started a relationship
