Hello, I’m back and I will be back to normal after a few days of rest. It was a very long and stressful week. Seeing so many people so incredibly upset was really difficult. One of the boys mother, whom I had never met, hugged me and cried and cried. It was awful to have to see. I just want to get readjusted to life out here again as quickly as possible.

I heard the news. How are you holding up?

lol. I hate it when I do that. But then I didn’t respond anyway because I was chased outta the computer lab because we close at 9:00. lol. Sorry about that. I wish I had been able to nap. The kid that I am babysitting (10 years old) woke me up at 2:00 am the nght before so I was exhausted but you know how kids are.

ugggg I posted it to my own shoutbox and couldn’t figure out whyyy you weren’t answering.

I used to do that alll the time. I went to garage sales today…and then napped. Haha wooo crazy life.

I’m organizing my room and singing along to some music :O)

New skates and your first goal!! That’s like the best ever!! :O)

Great! The ice was horrible but the skates were great. The Ice arena I use has 2 rinks, rink 1 and rink 2 last night we wereon rink 2 and even after the zamboni was done with the ice it had a lot of grooves in it so it took some getting use to but once I did it was great. I scored my first goal!

Yeah, I don’t think they’d get away with that. Plus you have to have a zamboni, or it’s just not hockey.

Yea, I would be fine with it as long as it didn’t replace rinks. My only concern is if it did replace rinks. The news story I saw on it was that they were the “rinks of the future” which turned me off to them right away.

Well, they had it at my mall back home for a while. It looked odd, but I saw someone skating on it and it looks like she was skating normally. I’d have to skate on it first. It’d be nice for like…back yards. I don’t think it should replace rinks though.

Heard of it and still not too keen on the idea. What are your thoughts on it?

Have you seen/heard of that synthetic ice??

lol. I know what addictions are like i.e hockey. Price of hockey went up here because the price of ice went up. Man, is hockey an expensive passion. lol

I’ve still been keeping busy with the garage saleing and Craig’s list searching. I’ve got some pretty good bargains and great stuff for the apartment. I’m definitely addicted though.

That is sooo exciting. Just be careful, I’m so nervous because of what happened to me. I got cocky and started going wayyy too fast, that’s how I wiped out.

I job search haha. Ummm I can do lab work, environmental work, pharmaceutical sales…a lot actually. This is a bad time to be looking for a job, unfortunately

Counseling is an awesome major! I really liked my major, but sometimes I could definitely see myself doing that as well. Kudos for taking the summer’s off…it’ll keep you fresh for the school year.

I go to school. I am majoring in counsleing but I take the summers off.

That is a fantastic way to spend your time. Do you work or go to school?

Not much. Just practicing ice skating and playing a lot of hockey.

A LOT of garage saleing…looking for new cool things for the apt.

That’s what I did and it really cut down on the expenses.

lol. Hockey is really expensive. The best advice I have to offer you is to get most of your gear used as possible.

I have to get a job out here first…hockey is like the most expensive sport ever! I only have figure skating crap…can’t play hockey with toe picks, you’d kill someone

Ohhh that is awesome!! Make sure you go slow until you break them in…I wiped out on my 19th birthday because I had new skates on and got the BIGGEST bruises ever.
