We’ll Im not ok, things got better for like a month and I was happy but now falling back down to normal (bad). Out of school and interning but its not going well. Its tough being left alone with my thoughts.
DAN! I can’t believe you were on and I missed you. Where have you been? You left without even saying goodbye. How is life? How are your studies? Your friends were all wondering if you’re okay.
Dan, how are you doing. I read your post and had a comment about your mom and her constant abuse. Man it’s time you live your life. You have a lot going for you, but it seems she’s dragging you down. Start living, start building up your self-esteem without that continual criticism. Shout me man, we haven’t talked in a long time.
Hey Dan, I like the new av. Does make me wonder who the hell those other people are??
Drop by my latest post if you get a chance. http://help.com/post/221520-the-count…
I produce videos freelance. Business is off, so I’ve been trying to figure out what to do next.
I liked I Am Legend even though I thought it was too short. The fact that he was the only actor on the screen for 45 minutes and I wasn’t bored is pretty amazing.
Sounds like a good job. My project was a video for a company, and they’re taking too long to review and approve it, which means a delay in getting paid.
Hancock wasn’t bad. Not Oscar material, but it was good for escapism which was all I asked or expected. Yeah Will Smith is great.
Hey man, stick to it, find a good job and your whole perspective will change. You’ll see. You’ll gain confidence. There’s an old saying, “Success breeds success.” It means that a person who appears successful (showing confidence in their abilities) is perceived by others as successful, and they in turn help that person to succeed. I’m not suggesting that you try to be cocky. Just believe in yourself and you’ll be surprised at how many others believe in you too. And like Richard said in that awesome post, start each day with the powerful words, “I am here.”
Hey Dan, if you click my profile, you’re on my list of people who can email me. Things aren’t as bad as they seemed that night. We all get in situations where we think no good will happen. But it will if you hold on.
Remember when we rehearsed for your job interview. You were great. You’ll get a decent job. Just don’t panic. Email me or shout me when you read this.
sounds like you did a great job in the interview. congratulations.
i think you should tell them about the trespassing charge. a misdemeanor is probably not a problem. by telling them,
you will look more honest and trustworthy (and you will be more honest). if it is a problem for them, that is if the company’s policy would prevent them from hiring you, then you owe it to them to not waste their time. they will appreciate it. and it’s good karma. when you do the right thing, it comes back to you.
I think it went well, it wasn’t that long they was like 3 people. I got smiles and laughs from them so I think i got did good. One thing of concern; If they’re going to hire me the next step is finger printing. I was charged with a misdemeanor of trespassing. I don’t know now.
okay, one more thing to think about. he may or may not ask this, but i always did.
i have several candidates who seem to have about the same qualifications as yourself. what is it about you, dan, that would convince me that you’re the best one for the job?
the answer is that you are dependable, on time, and are motivated to succeed. and that you work well with others — very important, given how much time is spent resolving conflicts between employees.
good. so you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, you’ve paid some dues doing the warehouse work, and (especially important) you have the aptitude to learn new things — machinery or computer programs.
next question:
how do you think your work experience relates to the job description of the position you’re applying for?
Well I was a volunteer at PFT a calibration company that used machines that analysis properties of liquids mainly oil and gasoline, I learned the use of shop machinery, sand blasters, forklifts, pressure heat washers. in my work as a sales associate I was doing a lot of stock where house work, and customer service, janitorial work, and some data entry. I was often told i caught on quickly and did good work by employees and management
