I haven’t spoken to you in a while and I just wanted to ask how you are? I’ve seen your most recent post. Have things changed at all over the past few weeks? How are you feeling now?
I’m feeling well, thanks. I need to start preparing for my final year and it’s rather overwhelming on the size of the project that I’ve got to complete. I should be fine though.
How is college/school going for you at the moment?
They aren’t that bad. I aren’t really a big fan of games consoles; lost interest in them several years ago. However, I quite like the games that are available.
I’m hoping to organise something. I know it’s my friends birthday during February, so I want to see if I can get something sorted.
Haha, my sister got a Nintendo DS. She’s angry now though because all the games she has are rubbish. My dad and I are the only ones in the house that don’t have a DS.
That’s sad … maybe you should try and organise something with them and catch up?
I got a Nintendo DS. I’ve been wanting one for quite a while and it’s rather good. The only problem is trying to find the time to play on it.
Last year for Christmas, I went out with a few friends for a night and it was really good. Unfortunately most have followed different roads (career wise) so we don’t really keep in touch as much.
Maybe your supervisor is just seeing how good you are. Or maybe he thinks you’re good enough that he can trust you enough to use your won initative. I guess that giving you scope to do your own thing is a way of showing that he trusts your judgement and opinion.
Oh no it isn’t anything too serious; I’ve got the serious job out of the way with. I was having major problems with it and ending up having to take it apart. It’s all fixed now. Just a load of little things that need to be done now.
Work is pretty well at the moment apart from my supervisor who is being really vague when assigning me jobs. Therefore, I have try and use a bit of initiative to figure out what I need to do.
I’ve been ok; I’ve just had a lot of little things going on the past few weeks.
I’m glad you enjoyed the holidays. For me, Christmas was pretty good apart from the fact that my Uncle couldn’t visit because he wasn’t feeling too good. I didn’t particularly enjoy New Years. There was no spark and I just wanted to get it over and done with.
Everything is going well at the moment though. How is college going?
This is a Christmas card shout wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Whether you are celebrating Christmas or something else, I hope you have a wonderful time and that the new year goes well for you.
But you are comparing yourself to others and aren’t even trying to get better. You need to think about what you want and try to reach them goals. What is stopping you from reaching them goals or even trying to reach them?
Ask yourself this question. Do you really think there is anyone in the world with a talent that nobody else has? I know it’s hard to break out of the habit, but you shouldn’t compare yourself to others.
Forget about how good others are and start looking at how good you really are.
Well, for one I would care if you weren’t here any more and I’m sure many other people on this site think the same.
You need to get rid of this negative attitude. If you really think that you haven’t got any talents, then maybe trying learning a skill or something that you think that you may enjoy.
I’m not talented. The things that I can do, there are people who can do it exactly as I do and some that can do it better. No one would care if I wasn’t here anymore. I’d just be replaced.
I think that about myself sometimes. You’ll be surprised on how talented you are when you start looking at other people. I’m not just saying that to make you feel better; it’s the truth.
Because I am. Everything I have done, am doing and will do could easily have been done my someone else. I’m not special, I just happened to be there at the time.
It’s hard getting out of bed when it’s cold at any time of the day :D. I used to always put my alarm clock in a position so that I had to get out of bed to turn it off. That gave me the get up and go (kinda).
I think the earliest shift that I ever had to do on Saturdays used to be 7AM. I hated it because I usually wake up between 7:00 and 7:15. I lost count on the number of times I arrived late for work. Lucky for me, I was good worker so my manager wasn’t that bothered.
There are never enough hours in the day. I always try to make sure I have at least 1 good nights sleep a week. That usually keeps me energised for the week.
That is bad. Lucky for me, birthdays don’t start until late January, so I’ve got some time.
I always find a good nights sleep helps cure a headache. However, I usually get headaches from caffeine deficiency, so I cure it by drinking coffee. I’m pretty sure it isn’t good for me. :D
I know! I always have loads of people to buy for and I struggle to come up with anything inventive. And I have 3 birthdays a week before to buy for too!
Yeah, I’ve taken something, just isn’t flipping working.
