  Thanks pamark, you sound like its been a very sucessful operation for you. Some positive news!
  
  I’m getting more confused with what I’m reading. A lot of information seems contradictory to me, and a hysterectomy appears not to ‘cure’ the endometriosis. If I research hysterectomy the info defers from endrometriosis and focuses on fertility and if I go down the endometriosis line I can’t seem to find detailed info on consequences of it being at stage 4 and possibly attached to the bowel.
  
  I want an MRI to see if its attached anywhere else so I don’t have to go through this again. I want to know exactly what I’ve got and where it is, and what happens if I do and don’t ‘treat’ it. I don’t know if I can demand one on teh NHS over here - at least we have the NHS in teh UK I can’t imagine how stressful it must be to be ill in the US with all teh complexities of insurance adn care over there. I digress. Thanks for writing. I do appreciate people taking teh time out to share their experiences with me.

  thanks both for your thoughtful support and positive comments. I’ll go through those googles for both and try to find specialists in the area I think? The hospital had no infomration for me to take away but directed me to a website and I’ve printed some info from there to. I feel battered now so I’m going to leave it for today. I have an investigative interview at work tomorrow following a potential error in judegment, as an events manager giving my staff a drink on their meal break because they were working so damm hard. It a good distraction. My immediate boss is being very supportive and will be covering my shift tomorrow so I can attend the interview and go home. My sister is also great and driving the 2 hours to see me Friday, sorting childcare and hubby. I am fully supported. Although single and childless I’m keen to get on a positive vibe, appreciating what I’ve got. Thanks again for taking the time to write to me. It makes a difference :)

  You shouldn’t go if you’re not going to support your work mate. However, its not really about you. If you’ve been asked to a funeral, you’ve been asked to share this dudes grief. Nobody likes funerals (?!) I think you should try and reassess and stop thinking about yourself. This persons Mom just died. Can you imagine how that might affect you and what you might do to get through it? Check it out from a different angle and see what you think. You might still end up not going (I think you’ve already decided not to and you’re feeling guilty and looking for forgiveness?) It might be useful for you to go somewhere and be less western - pressurised by expectations and ‘norms’. If you do or don’t go, make sure you can hold your head up and know yourself enough to feel no guilt about your own reasoning.
