I am a 41 year old female. And my Mom is 6o years old and has been in kidney failure for 5 years. She moved to Arizona back in 2002. And soon after that found out that she is in kidney failure. We have tried for 3 years to get her ready for a kidney transplant and we have always hit road blocks. First she devoloped a rare disease skin disease. And needed surgery to remove her perithyroid to reduce her body from makeing calcium. Then she got into a very seriuos car accident and fractured her neck in 3 spots and severally damaged her leg. Now finally after 5 years, she is ready for a transplant. I am giving her my kidney. We had to wait an additional 6 months beacuse I had a baby. And you have to be 6 months out to donate your kidney. I am struggling to lose the weight to get my bmi where it needs to be for surgery.
That brings us to where we are today. We need some finacial help for after the surgery. I am unable to care for my child for 1 month(picking her up)due to the surgery. I just need assistance during the day. When my husband comes home it is ok. So I need to hire full time help for 30 days.My dad will be able to care for my mom after the surgery.I am asking for anytype of money donation to help with the cost of having help for 30 days.
