SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
A set of practices designed to improve the appearance and positioning of web pages in organic search results. It involves optimizing various on-page and off-page elements to increase a website’s visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs).

TLD (Top-Level Domain)
The highest level in the hierarchical Domain Name System of the internet. It appears as the final component of a domain name, following the last dot. Common examples include .com, .org, and .net.

Subdomain
A domain that is part of a larger domain. It appears as a prefix to the parent domain name, separated by a dot. For example, in “blog.example.com”, “blog” is the subdomain of the “example.com” domain.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
A standard network protocol used for transferring files between a client and a server on a computer network. In web hosting, it is commonly used to upload, download, and manage website files on the server.

Redirect
A method of forwarding one URL to a different URL. It can be implemented at the server level or through client-side scripting, and is useful for maintaining links when page locations change or for creating more user-friendly URLs.

Website Bandwidth
The volume of data transferred between your website and users over a given period. It represents the amount of data that can be transmitted over an internet connection in a specific time frame, typically measured in bits per second (bps).

Disk Usage
The amount of storage space consumed by files, databases, and other data associated with a website on a hosting server. It is typically measured in megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB) and is often subject to limits defined by the hosting plan.

SQL Database
A relational database management system that uses Structured Query Language (SQL) for managing and manipulating data. In web hosting, SQL databases are commonly used to store and retrieve data for dynamic websites and applications.
